I make sure that chaos is turned into a system that genuinely works in everyday practice — calmly, structurally and efficiently. For more than 15 years, I have supported universities and research institutions from the initial concept of a research information system through to its implementation. What matters to me most is turning many scattered pieces of information into a shared, reliable foundation.
Training & system architecture
I build the technical foundation in a way that means processes do not have to be forced into the software — instead, the software fits the processes cleanly. My field is architecture: structures, interfaces and stability. I make sure that the solution not only works today, but will continue to work when the next requirement arises.
Hosting & security
I plan and implement individual modules, while also ensuring that the application remains secure and easy to use. I like systems that are robust without feeling heavy — systems that are secure, clear and pleasant to work with.

The implementation timeline depends on the scope and complexity of your requirements. It can range from around 12 weeks to 12 months. We work according to the agile “Build-Measure-Learn” principle, enabling us to deliver usable results quickly and refine them continuously.
At the beginning of the implementation process, your main task is to communicate your target vision. We then take over the implementation based on your specifications, which you review at the end. This keeps the required resources manageable. If legacy data needs to be migrated, you can either handle this yourself (with our support), or leave the entire migration process to us.
Yes, UniversiS is GDPR-compliant. It supports user-specific data access, the deletion of personal data, and, thanks to its individual configurability, makes it possible to limit the collection of personal data to what is strictly necessary.
Yes, UniversiS provides a comprehensive implementation of the Kerndatensatz Forschung (KDSF 2.0), which we make available to all customers free of charge. Individual data fields or entire content types can easily be reduced and your own data aspects can be added.
Yes, UniversiS has a general interface (API) for integrating existing systems such as HR systems, financial software, library systems and research databases. We are happy to support you in integrating UniversiS smoothly into your existing IT landscape. The same API can also be used to transfer information to your own website.
We offer individually tailored training for administrators, including system configuration, power users in central units, and standard users. This ranges from introductory workshops to advanced configuration training.
UniversiS has been designed specifically for a high degree of flexibility. Changes to the data model, roles and permissions, workflows and template-based reports can be made at any time via an Excel configuration file, without any programming effort — including by your own team.
The costs depend on the size of your institution and the optional modules you require. For institutions with up to 1,000 employees, the annual licence fee is €12,000. There is no obligation to purchase support hours.
During our business hours, we offer comprehensive and timely support by email, phone and ticket system. In most cases, we respond on the same day as your enquiry. Installing a software update takes only a few minutes and runs fully automatically.
Yes. Due to its low resource requirements and straightforward installation, UniversiS can be operated on your own IT infrastructure. Of course, we can also provide a hosted solution or support your locally operated system.
